Colour, place, emotion and memory

“Man needs colour to live; it is just as necessary an element as fire and water.” Fernand Leger

Jodie Cunningham is a visual artist and maker of objects. A trained painter she also works with drawing, digital imaging, sculpture and design. Her work has primarily dealt with the themes of abstraction, ornamentation, color, place, emotion and memory. We have greatly enjoyed installing some of her vibrant works into Benedict’s convent windows and archways where they seem to glow with light and brilliance!
Come to the Benedict Arts Precinct Open day on 13 September to view Jody’s stunning installation pieces; you may even get to meet her.
