Chasing the white whale

20131209_210047It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.”
― William Ernest Henley, Invictus

This little vignette features the Lost and Found Office photofabric, Locked Gate, developed from an image shot by MissGen. We’ve experimented with Locked Gate as upholstery fabric on a funky 60’s telephone table and on cushions embroidered to the rear; also as a photolamp. In the foreground you will spy the upholstered Captain’s chair and in the background a travel image by MissGen of a Portuguese fishing vessel leaving the harbour.

We do not know where this journey will end. But we do know that no matter what our aspirations, where the journey takes us or how white the whale that swims before us: we have to follow our dreams.
