We recently stumbled upon a pair of once-elegant Danish-style kitchen chairs. Despite the scuffed timber and worn-out seats, we could see that the shape was still beautiful. We desperately wanted to refurbish them.
Countless previous owners had made crude attempts at upholstery – but the chair frames were still in reasonable condition. So we started by gently cleaning and oiling the wood, before fitting new upholstery in a bright, beautiful fabric that contrasted nicely with the shape.
This is the result and we love it. Some day soon these chairs will appear in our store…but for now, we’re busy just admiring them.
